After months of trying to figure out PA's loophole law for disabled children, I have managed to get 10 hours of Therapeutic Support Services for my children at school!:) This is a huge relief for me because now I know they will have some one on one support and I can stop stressing about support for this disabilities.

As you probably know, it is exhausting to be a warrior mom who has to deal with both the gifted and academic needs of the kids, and their disability and behavioral needs. My vacations at work have been almost non-existent because of all the meetings and school discussions that I needed to take time off for. I am crossing my fingers that this really helps them behaviorally and helps me focus on the academics.:)

Great news Artana. I agree it is so exhausting to try to get the school to see 2E kids the way we see them. After I finish an especially difficult phase of convincing the teacher to offer higher level material and stop teaching to the disabilities, I always sit back and reflect on how many kids are falling through the cracks. How many kids are just too hard for their parents to understand, either because their parents aren't warriors, or they kids are just too complex. What happens to those kids? Often, I feel like I am not getting through. But it's when you come out with a workable plan and see your kids begin to even out and succeed, you know it's worth it.

Good luck! Keep us posted.
