Here to report that ds9 has gone off meds and all is well, for the most part. Today, we were playing in a river and a snapping turtle caught a goose. We got the goose free, but ds wouldn't go back in out of fear of the snapping turtle, even though everyone else did. I think if he were on meds, he wouldn't be so careful, but if that's the worst we get, we'll take him med free!

He was on zoloft for 2 years and we had tried unsuccessfully at other times to take him off of it. Each time has been a little better. The first time, his night fears returned. The second time, he was afraid to ride his bike through falling leaves. This time is much better. So far so good. So, it seems to us that even if you can't stop the meds on your first try, it's worth it to keep trying.

That's great! Keep the updates coming. I am very interested to see how he adjusts.
