I'd like to do some reading/learning about impulse control/self control in kids in general, and particularly in gifted kids. I want to have some understanding of how impulse control develops and if any kind of coaching/activity/intervention can improve impulse control.

    Can any one recommend resources?

    Thank you!

One resource, written in bite-size articles and in layman's terms, is Understood.org.
A few links to begin with -

When looking for information on impulse control, you might also use the search term "executive function."

When it comes to advocacy, Wrightslaw is an invaluable resource.

    Best wishes on your research!
