Very glad that you are making progress.
Bioinformatics does seem a good choice for your set of skills and interests.
Best wishes for your continuing journey.

@indigo: then it felt here, like receiving such thoughts, experiences & analogies, from not only one grandfather, but a number of brothers/sisters, uncles/aunts, or maybe also grandparents.. I'll leave that open as I do not know your respective ages :-)

@Eagle Mum: it is good to have confirmation from an outside observer, that I might be on the right path :-)

    Hello everyone,
I was looking to read that article again that had been recommended by MumOfThree. It was about procrastination and avoidance tendencies in young adulthood in gifted individuals. It seems like the website has been re-designed and I can't find the article anymore. Does anyone have a copy of it by any chance?
    Best,
    Raphael

    (Original post:)
Raphael, it is so good to see that you have worked very hard to be aware of your own internal processes and less helpful behaviors and tried to address those patterns in your life. You sound quite balanced in your own self description, aware of both strengths and weaknesses. I don't feel qualified to give you very much advice, but I did think that you might find it helpful to read this article:

Perhaps you will find it helps you understand some of your patterns of behavior or difficulties better?

Any time a web site or webpage is "not found" or the contents appear to have been changed and no longer contain the information one is seeking, it is a good idea to check the WayBack Machine, Internet Archive: https://web.archive.org/

The WayBack Machine reports that this partcular link (https://www.davidsongifted.org/search-database/entry/a10421) was saved 10 times between July 2, 2016 and February 25, 2021.

Thanks a lot! That WayBack Machine sure is a useful tool to have at one's disposal. Happy to find that article again!
