Hello! We live in a state that recognizes intellectual giftedness as a potential disability and in some cases, students receive IEPs. Our son is a rising 2nd grader and we are working alongside the special ed teacher and G&T teacher to create his IEP goals.

Do any of you have elementary age children with IEPs for their giftedness? If so, I would love to hear what goals (or types of goals) have been helpful for your child.

Additional context: Accommodations will likely include some curriculum compacting and grade acceleration (for ELA and math only). There will be ELA and math goals.

    Welcome!

I do not, but others do or have in the past.
Perhaps some of them will chime in.
