My therapist is convinced I have Asperger's but he may not be as well versed in giftedness. What I have seems to look a lot like MG/HG + HSP + Enneagram 5 + INTP.

By the way, I took an emotional IQ test and did very well -- except that often I can't figure out what's going on in real time when I'm overwhelmed by a conversation.

Judging from this it looks like I'm a HG AS adult now who had adapted to and learned to overcome many of the symptoms shown as prevalent in gifted AS children.

I suspect HG and AS is a very rare combination. I've met other people in the spectrum and they don't seem as well rounded as I am emotionally and spiritually. Those may be the gifted traits.

Because the forums are largely geared toward helping parents navigate the system and advocate for having the needs of their gifted children met, most of the posts and resources will be focused on children. However, with patience and repeated online searches, information geared toward adults may be found. For the benefit of future readers of these forums, it may be helpful to post adult ASD articles in the adult forum.

There's this doctoral dissertation from a couple of years ago, that does a few case studies on GT/ASD college students, and also has a nice review of the 2e literature, with an eye especially to ASD:

    https://digitalrepository.unm.edu/cgi/viewcontent.cgi?article=1062&context=educ_ifce_etds

This article is specifically referenced in it:

    https://www.tandfonline.com/doi/abs/10.1080/02783199909553993

It's only one (or two) source, but it may interest you.

ETA: and good point, indigo. I'll re-post these sources over there...
