Any feedback on this online school as an option for the upcoming COVID year?

Athena's is a good choice for online gifted enrichment courses. They have really expanded their offerings in the past few years, particularly for older students. The courses are pitched at levels (elementary, middle, high school) rather than age, so there is typically a pretty wide mix of ages in each of the classes. Some teachers are stronger than others.

If your kids are older be aware there will be very bright 7 year olds who behave like 7 year olds.
