We are moving to Orange County, and will decide on the area to rent/buy a house based on our son's school. Our 10 year old is highly gifted, and we would like to place him in a good school that can keep him challenged. We are looking at private, public, magnet, charter, etc, whichever will make him happy. He is currently in a Magnet school which offers Mandarin Immersion in addition to Gifted Talented services.
We are new to California and would appreciate all the help. Thank you.

I've heard good things about the Pegasus school in Huntington Beach although I don't recall any specifics now and never looked into it myself. I'm not sure of any of the other options around there.

You might also try inquiring of Summit center regarding schools. Summit has several well-known experts/authors in the field of giftedness, and a relationship with them may prove beneficial over the years.
