My ds11 had a neurofeedback on/off between 6.5 yrs old and about 8 yrs old -- not for ADHD. It was not a miracle cure but it did help and he hasn't been on medication.

Ds did neurofeedback with other therapies (vt, water therapy...he did ot and pt for yrs) and a restrictive paleo-type diet which one of the neurofeedback providers strongly suggested.

A couple of yrs ago, I put ds on a 21-day sugar detox diet and that helped too. We have relaxed it a bit since then by allowing occasional treats and certain foods, but I do try to keep out some things like candies with additives, food coloring, and dyes. I do think some kids are super sensitive to what they eat and that's just the way it is for them.

We homeschool so I can give ds a lot of downtime, prompting, and scaffolding, etc.
