We had DS7's IEP today. He'll be getting 30 minutes of speech per week, 30 minutes a week of hand strengthening/writing, and a Chromebook available in class.

AND after his teacher strongly spoke in support of it, the principal finally consented to accelerating him to fourth grade next year.

He'll have the same teacher as he had this year in second grade, who has been nothing short of phenomenal for him. And he'll be in the same class as DD8, which they are both excited about. The fourth grade is a particularly small grade for this town, so their class will only have 17 students in it, which is awesome too.

Third and fourth grade have recess together, and they're going to let him dismiss for lunch ten minutes early so he can eat with the third graders while he's still building friendships with the fourth graders.

    Happy dance!
