Hello, I haven't posted in a long time, but I read the forums regularly. I have a 5th grader with dysgraphia. He can barely write...it's a big struggle and he has such a hard time in school.

He has always been a good reader, and I just got his STAR results... grade equivalent is 11.2. We needed some good news around here! Thanks for listening, I'm just so happy for my little guy who despises school. He feels encouraged that "at least I'm good at something!"

So thrilled for you and your son, Jen! Dysgraphia is one small thing, but it can sure make a kid feel bad at *everything*. Keep encouraging him, let him see what he can do, and don't let up on the the school to allow him all the workarounds he needs so others can see what he can do, too. Hugs to you both.
