Just wanted to post a quick review warning parents here about Rosetta Stone's Lexia Learning Core 5 for reading. After having had this for a month or so (with a child who is 4 and can already read), I wanted to let people know that this is not a great fit for kids who do not need repetition.
It claims to be adaptive, but does not lessen the amount of repetitive questions when you get 100% right. If you accidentally click on a wrong answer, you are forced to go to another section of drill and kill on the same questions before returning to complete the original section.
It is solid on phonics but a horrible fit for for us. If it allowed progression with 1/4 of the questions, I'd probably be thrilled with it.
