...at the end of the summer, I will need to talk with DS8's teachers about reasonable accommodations. I would like to shed some light on the twice exceptional aspect. I understand that some accommodations that work well for typical children with ADHD may backfire for gifted children with ADHD. We're already seeing it now with some pull back on accelerated work and DS melting down on homework assignments that are unchallenging. I think DS's teachers see his frustration and are addressing it with easier work instead of understanding that becoming easily frustration is part of the ADHD/gifted profile.
Would love to find something that would address the misunderstandings. Thanks.

Have you checked the Davidson Institute's database for articles to share? I'm thinking they have some you can download. Might also be worth looking at the Belin-Blank site as they have a specialization in 2E matters.
