I remember Lawrenceville as being THE prep school for boys for parents with tons of money in my area when I was growing up. (I lived for part of my youth in NJ) From what I remember it was all boys and only a H.S. (9-12)/ I remember it being a boarding school but accepting local day students as well. Does it now accept girls?

I seem to remember stumbling upon during an internet search a few years ago an international math boarding school in Princeton. Don't know a thing about it.

Were you thinking about it for middle school? IMHO, that is rather early for boarding school. I survived the experience but I wouldn't do it to my own child,

This is the international STEM boarding school in Princeton, NJ: www.prismus.org. There is a new principal this year who comes from Thomas Jefferson School of Mathematics and Science in Fairfax County, VA. The website is not up to date and is in the process of being (slowly) updated, but it's enough to give you an idea. I expect there will be many changes next year and the school will grow into an excellent school modeled after Thomas Jefferson under the new principal's leadership.

Sounds like a tough situation and you are wise to consider options!

You said homeschooling wasn't an option, but is a set of private tutors at home (homeschooling, but not by parents) a possibility until she's a few years older?

I agree that I would only consider it for high school.
