My 10 yo dyslexic son scored very high on the Brief Math of the WJ, but the fluency score brought the broad index down. I have the impression that speed is less emphasized on the WIAT. Does anyone know if that is indeed true?

On the WIAT-III, the Mathematics Composite is comprised of two untimed subtests, Math Problem Solving and Numerical Operations. The Addition, Subtraction, and Multiplication Fluency subtests are combined into a separate Math Fluency Composite.
