My workplace recently installed those jet dryers, and I see grown men drying their hands on their pants all the time, so it's not just a kid thing... those dryers are awful.
We took my DD to a Doodlebops concert when she was 3, and we didn't make it through three songs before we left, as DD's complaints about her ears slowly grew more and more strident. DW started lecturing to DD about it as we made our way to the car, but I had to cut her off by pointing out that my ears were hurting, too. The theater was small, with poor acoustics, and the amps were turned up wayyyyy too high.
