Not sure what you are asking... Quiz Bowl was a school activity for my kids. They were in a K-12 school, and by the time my last kid graduated (a top QB kid in our state), they had middle school and high school teams. But I think before they formed the middle school teams, the coach let 8th graders practice with the high school team.

Resources for kids who want to get better: ACE Quiz Bowl summer camps helped my kid a lot. She studied online a lot using resources like Sporcle. This is a great activity for gifted kids, it was my youngest's favorite high school activity. I hope your kid can find a team!

Thanks, intparent! Fortunately, DS does have a team at his middle school. The first competition is next month and the kids have been practicing together. However, the coordinators appear somewhat disorganized so they haven't received their study materials yet. DS is strong in some categories but could use work in a couple of others.
