I assume you've already found the 2011 norms summarized in this cut sheet:

    https://www.nwea.org/content/uploads/2014/07/MAP-Normative-Data-One-Sheet-Dec11.pdf

From what I can see, they are developing norms to be released in 2015.

I see that it has been, but this page references 2015 norms (about half-way down):

    https://www.nwea.org/assessments/map/scale-and-norms/

Perhaps it's a misprint? Or they've decided to change their procedures?

Not sure how you can have 2015 norms when 2015 hasn't happened yet?

Do the numbers really change that much?

new norms release this fall. The number doesnt change nicoledad but the percentiles do. dd dropped from 98th to 75th in reading at the last norming from when she was in first grade. I dont think the changes will be as drastic this time as the number of kids participating may actually make the scores go the other way!

I think that it was normed originally on a fairly low achieving group. I feel like my kids' scores have been somewhat inflated in comparison to other standardized testing.

This is our first year dealing with MAP and I am looking at the norms. Do I understand correctly that you compare your child's score to the grade level scores to find out where they are academically?

Thanks for any help or explanations.
