    I am so happy for you and your DS that you've found some effective accommodations! That is huge.

    I'll be in the office next week, so hopefully I'll be able to find a few minutes to look up your standard scores for you.

    Dear Aeh,

    Thank you so much! Yes, we are very happy and hopeful that we can continue to help DS wink

    That would just be wonderful if you could do that for us - we truly appreciate your kindness. (Wish I could thank you in person).

    Hope you have a great weekend.

    SBV scaled/standard scores at age 4.5

    Fluid Reasoning = 153, >99.9%ile
    Knowledge = 140, 99.6%ile
    Quantitative Reasoning = 127, 96, %ile
    Visual-Spatial Processing = 129, 97%ile
    Working Memory = 112, 79%ile

    Nonverbal = 134, 99%ile
    Verbal = 138, 99%ile
    Full Scale = 137, 99%ile

    Nonverbal subtests:
    NV Fluid Reasoning 19
    NV Knowledge 16
    NV QR 13
    NV VSP 17
    NV WM 11

    Verbal subtests:
    V FR 19
    V Know 18
    V QR 17
    V VSP 13
    V WM 13

    WISC-IV scores age equivalents:
    Block Design 6-6
    Picture Concepts 6-6
    Matrix Reasoning 7-10
    Picture Completion <6-2

    Similarities 10-2
    Vocabulary 6-10
    Comprehension <6-2
    Information <6-2

    Digit Span 10-2
    Letter-Number Sequence <6-2
    Arithmetic 6-2

    Coding <6-2
    Symbol Search <6-2

    As much as age equivalents are an abomination, I have chosen to report them rather than scaled scores, as the norms don't begin until age 6-0, so the scaled scores would be less meaningful in this case.

    It is evident from the results that there is a marked strength in fluid reasoning, with verbal and nonverbal equally high (at the top of the norms; I don't have the extended norms, but I wouldn't be surprised if FR is even higher with them). Knowledge is quite high as well--although it is assessed using both language heavy and language reduced tasks, both reflect largely verbal development. Quantitative reasoning is slightly less even, with stronger verbal performance and slightly above average nonverbal performance. There are some untimed physical manipulations involved at the earlier levels, so that may or may not have been a factor. Visual-spatial also has diverse performance, with the nonverbal strong, and verbal just above average. Verbal requires good knowledge of directional terms, so may reflect exposure, in addition to spatial sense. Working memory is a relative weakness, but not entirely out of the range for highly gifted kids, especially ones of this age, who are harder to keep engaged on less stimulating tasks.

    ETA: let me know if you would like me to remove these scores, or send them to you pm.

    Awww! Thank You Aeh!!!

    I am so genuinely touched that you did this on your first day back at work!

    I'll be going over everything you've provided and hopefully I'm able to glean a bit more about DS without bugging you again.

    Lucky

    PS I'm terrified about posting in public - thanks to you all for making me feel safe in doing so.
