First, I wouldn't worry about the DIAL-4 results. The purpose of the instrument is as a screener for developmental delays (not necessarily learning disabilities, which are not identified by public schools until a few years later). In your daughter's case, it fulfilled that purpose by screening her out. Good enough.
Second, is this an academic pre-k or a play-based pre-k? If play-based, lack of academic challenge may not even come up, as the primary instructional goals will be social, emotional, behavioral, and attentional. (Making friends, taking turns, following directions, sitting still, acclimating to a classroom environment.)
May I inquire as to the reason she was assessed with the DAS-II? And if you feel comfortable, what her cluster and subtest scores were? Both the test and the testers usually have small children in mind. While I have certainly seen children fade with fatigue or lack of interest, usually, the tasks are interesting enough to maintain optimal performance. (This is actually why some of those spatial tasks happen near the end.) Standard administration usually takes between 30-60 minutes for preschoolers, with the longer time including supplementary subtests. Did your administration take much longer than that?
