The Ministry of Education in Singapore has a Gifted Education Programme (GEP). Its website has interesting Mission and Values statements and Links describing its Programme offerings, providing food for thought:

- Rationale and Goals,
- Enrichment Model,
- Individualised Study Options,
- FAQs describing identification/selection and Target Group of Exceptionally Gifted Children,
- provisions for pupils (Programmes & Activities at the Primary and Secondary level),
- descriptions of ability grouping and student research/presentation projects

For example, the Mission statement mentions "leadership in the education of the intellectually gifted" and the Enrichment Model is described as covering more advanced topics whenever necessary and valuing authentic learning. There are separate Enrichment Activities and Programmes for High-Ability Learners (HAL): mainstream pupils with high ability in English Language, Mathematics and Science.

No hint of striving for uniformity among student outcomes.
