    Hi everyone:)

My 5 (almost 6) year old ds was recently tested through his school and came up with the 99%ile on his NNAT. Not really sure what that means....waiting to hear from counselor today. I'm sure I'm not alone when I say what the heck?!? How did this happen? haha!
Just wanted to introduce myself and my situation a bit while I get my bearings in the parenting gifted world, and the forums here.

    Megan

    Hello and welcome!

I don't know what a NNAT is, but you can undoubtedly find someone around here who does. This place is a treasure trove. smile

Welcome Megan! The NNAT is the Naglieri non-verbal ability test. Your DS getting a 99th percentile on that means if 100 randomly-selected children (his age or grade, depending how it's normed which I don't know) including him did the test, you'd expect him to score best or best-but-one.

    If you Google

    nnat site:davidsongifted.org

you get lots of threads about it, which you might like to browse.

More generally, hang around here, jump into any threads of interest, ask anything you like!
