If you are okay with your DS being exposed to Frozen and the Lego movie, he could read books based on the movies and there are clips on youtube. DD loves watching the sing-along version. Between the books and the clips, he would be able to converse with his peers about the movies.

Thank you, CCN. I appreciate you sharing your experience with this. He's six today and we've certainly come a long way so I am glad to hear it continues to get better in some areas with age.

Mana, we do have books about the movies and that does help. Thank you!

Ds7 still sometimes needs support for bits of Diego or dora. We tend not to watch anything not aimed at young kids. He did see frozen with his holiday programme (I somehow didn't notice) and did better without me I think. The only movies he has seen have been at holiday care as I think even the ones aimed at kids are not really suitable.

I am so glad to hear that this is not uncommon.
