    Hello everyone,

We have received quite a few public requests from parents in Australia recently, and we decided to create this part of the forum to provide a starting point for those directed to this forum. Please feel free to post here if you have anything to add. Also, feel free to create a new thread for any other country or region.

To start things off, here are a few gifted organizations that may be of interest to those in Australia:

GERRIC at University of New South Wales (https://education.arts.unsw.edu.au/about-us/gerric/) is one of the leading gifted education research organizations and they offer programs for gifted students (https://education.arts.unsw.edu.au/about-us/gerric/for-gifted-students/).

Gifted and Creative Services Australia (http://www.davidsongifted.org/db/Resources_id_12317.aspx)

World Council for Gifted and Talented Children (http://www.world-gifted.org/)

There is a Gifted Families yahoo discussion group from which some may have learned about the DITD forums: http://au.groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/giftedfamilies/info

Possibly some from the forums may also be interested in the yahoo group?

Started in 1995, Austega's Gifted Services: Resources and Annotated Links is no longer updated but remains a collection of helpful information. (link- http://www.austega.com/gifted/)

Part of Austega's gifted collection, Dealing with problems at school is a brief overview for an advocacy meeting (link- http://www.austega.com/gifted/16-gifted/articles/29-dealing-with-problems-at-school.html)
