This is an exciting new way to help students with their classes: previously, students provided their own practice questions and Wolfram\|Alpha helped them find answers with Step-by-step solutions. Students can now ask Wolfram\|Alpha for help with practice and homework questions and can do practice problems with Wolfram Problem Generator. Currently, there are six main topics that Wolfram Problem Generator covers: arithmetic, number theory, algebra, calculus, linear algebra, and statistics. The topics range from early elementary school all the way through college calculus. Moreover, for elementary and secondary education material, we are closely following the Common Core Standards initiative to provide a comprehensive list of topics. The monthly subscription cost for Wolfram Alpha Pro is $5/month. Our family has not tried it yet. Wolfram created Mathematica.

If people have tried this or the Wolfram course assistant apps in Calc, Discrete Math, etc I would love reviews. We are too young to need it yet but there would seem to be some good resources here. I think we have the some of the same issues in figuring out what to buy as Wolfram has in trying to figure out what to monetize . -chris

erich Member Joined: Nov 2010 Posts: 97 Illinois	DS11 was not impressed by wolframalpha's problem generator. He complained that the problems are randomly generated by machine. Selection is limited and lack of depths and variance. AOPS is a much better place for kids because they promote math problem writing and make it a fun thing to do.
