Lorel Member Joined: Aug 2007 Posts: 970 New England	Oh yes- you could absolutely have one test for the official public record and another for your own purposes. Just be sure to use different tests so as not to invalidate the data. Maybe the CAT for school officials and the IOWA for you, or vice versa.

I feel like I have a pretty good grasp on where he is since we work one-on-one every day. I don't need some standardized test to tell me. The testing is just a hoop. I just don't want the required testing to be so boring. That's why I want the above-grade test without the grade skip. Two tests? That's one too many for us! Good idea, though. Like I said: I wanna have my cake and eat it, too! Kriston

I introduced the concepts of theorems and proofs today, and he was right there with me. It's kind of scary, but also kind of cool! I worry a bit about what we'll do in 5 or 6 years, but I'm trying not to get ahead of myself. Kriston
