P.S. Today I asked DD12 which language, if we all studied a language at home together, she thinks we should study. After some though she voted for French. I'm thrilled with that, as it will allow me (force me?) to brush up and re-learn French myself so I can teach them.

We probably won't get to it for awhile but at least a decision has been made.

The three of us are vwery much liking our Mandarin class! Someone from SENG recommended to me the book Long is a Dragon. It is great ! I am also finding that the SLC library has quite a few books in Mandarin. But reading in this language is a totaly different story - for now (and a few years from now) we will concentrate on being able to express our thoughts and questions :-) I higly recommend Chinese for gifted learners - it is a subject unlike any others :-)
