In the "mailman updates" thread (which I am affectionately calling "waiting for godot") I mentioned that our newly-adopted stray cat was pregnant. She had her much-anticipated kittens last night! I thought I would post a few photos since folks wanted to be updated when the kittens arrived. If this is inappropriate for this venue, please let me know and I'll delete my post.

There are five little furry kitties!

Edited to add: I can't get the photos to show up, even using the [img] tags. Not sure why. Anyway, if you want to see the photos, send me a message and I'll link you!

    Blissed out in kitten heaven,
    Tara

Take lots of photos, Tara! They grow SO fast! our two kittens are now five months old and almost fully grown. Their parents are actually ready for their next litter to be born- can you believe it? When my daughter went for her riding lesson last week the Mom was HUGE- I think she will be having those babes very, very soon. The Mom is supposed to get spayed asap after she gives birth.

Link me, baby! I'd love to see them, too. I'm a sucker for kittens.

And I LOVE "Waiting for Godot" as a name for the waiting thread! Too funny!

My cat is 16y/o -- long past the kitten phase and well into senility.

Hahaha, kitty claws, I used to call my kitty "velcro kitty". She'd stick to anything that was cloth! But it was not so funny when she climbed my leg when I had shorts on.

Ok Tara, I never got a chance to ask for pictures. I'd love to see them and find out how the kitties are doing.

I also wanted to share that on Friday I finally got around to taking our new kitten, Daisy, to the vet to have her spayed. Someone had found Daisy at my mom's school in December and we said we would take her. She was really tiny. Anyway, the vet called me on Friday before the surgery to tell me that actually Daisy is a MALE! I laughed so hard, and of course I was so embarrassed. So far he's now Mr. Daisy on the vet's papers, and the kids are having quite a disagreement over whether to change his name and if so, to what. I'm just glad that Daisy won in the original debate over the other name DD3 wanted, which was Princess Rose. Then we'd really be in a pickle.
