Haven't posted in awhile, but now I have some good news and need some info./advice. After a good meeting with my son's principal last month in which he was going to gather data on my DS7 to give along with a parent request for testing, he told me today that the school psychologist will be administering the OLSAT after spring break. Yeah! I was so worried that they weren't going to accept our request since they don't officially screen until the end of 2nd grade. (my son is in 2nd grade just for LA in the am and 1st grade for the other subjects).
I remember reading that the OLSAT isn't the best test, but at this point I'm ready for DS7 to take any type of test which will help them see that he really needs to be accelerated for next year. They have a self contained gifted class for 3rd/4th grade combined which I hope they will offer.
Please share your experience with the OLSAT and any info./advice.
