Just read through pages and pages of "what is the goal?" Great posts, very interesting. And all over the map.
Latest on my path: I was asked and am following up to organize a panel for AGATE NY 2009 conference. Figured it was a great exercise for me to figure out my goals for DD's education and look at options.
I outlined a panel discussion with the heads of the gifted schools, college level educators of gifted teachers. Types of questions would be: working with the mix of MG and HG+, differences in learning styles.
I would appreciate any ideas, feedback on what this sort of discussion should be about to address the question NTT had about what is the goal and how do I achieve it in gifted education.
BTW, this would be in October 2009 in NYC if there is any interest.
