One boy in our school missed entrance into the G&T program using the WISC IV by a few points as well. His mom had him tested a year later outside and they would not accept his scores. She fought and fought the administration due to her instinct

Sorry to add one more thing but the new program is now using the MAPS and COGAT test which I will receive today at conferences so we will see what happens. Thanks again.

Good news - DS2's hearing check last week came out fine. He's back in speech therapy and I've been requesting his favorite therapist. After waiting two weeks to get on her schedule, they tried to switch us at the last minute (i.e. when we arrived)

If my OP makes it seems like all gifted children/adults have no/little friends, I apologize. My personal belief for most things in life is balance, and obviously the child who I grew up with did not have that.
