OnTheGo - I love that! Having considerate kids is really what it's all about. My DS9 just got a high honors certificate in math and verbal for his SCAT scores from CTY. It's a nice little surprise to get that in the mail!

Do you think it would be in my DD’s best interest to retest and try to hit qualification for Davidson Young Scholar Program? On the WISC-IV at 6.1 years, DD tested gifted with FSIQ 137, but examiner said she didn’t push and based on feedback in the

I'd agree with the others that I'd wait. I'd also add that test results from age two are unlikely to make a difference once she hits school age. Teachers and administrators may be disinclined to believe scores that are many years old and done when

Like an earlier poster mentioned, we've seen leveling off due to lack of appropriate instruction to be more likely in math than reading. Our oldest's MAPS RITs in 4th grade were in the 99th for reading and 97th for math at the start of the year. Sh

Hi Qwerty. My daughter will be 4 next month and we haven't tested her beyond the school tests they administer to the students. My DD goes to a Spanish Immersion program which is academic and 2 years ahead of the public schools. We didn't have to tes

Hi! Good for your daughter! For what it's worth, my 27 month old has been very similar with each of these milestones, and I don't see any reason to have him tested. DS1 was given the WISC-III at 3 1/2, but only because our preschool teacher stron
